  • Energy-Telecom bug report class December 6 2018

    1. In section "Local/Long Distances/International Service" in line "Bundled with:" TAB ORDER doesn't move the pointer from checkbox "Internet" to checkbox "TV" AND "Both".
    The same problem in the section "High Speed Internet Service"-doesn't move from checkbox "Cable" to checkbox "Dial-Up" and "DSL".

    2. In the text field "State" grammar mistake in sign of District of Columbia-BC. It must be "DC".
    3. In the text field "State" incorrect sign "IND" (Indiana). It must be "IN".
    4. In the text field "State" second letters didn't arrange in alphabetical order.

    5. In the section ''Cell Phone Service" in line "Months left on current contract:" text field has choice only for 10 months. Supposed at least 12 months.

    6. In section "Gas and Electric Services" checkbox " I am opento using different provider" - grammar mistake. It must be "I am open to...".

    Contact Information:

    1. TAB order move incorrect. After "First name" text field TAB order move to "Referred by" text box. Observe: Suppose move to "Last Name" text box which is LEFT-->RIGHT move;
    2. "First Name" text field accept numbers and symbols;
    3. "Last Name" text field accept numbers and symbols;
    4. "City" text field accept numbers and symbols;
    5. "Email" text field accept non email text;
    6. "State" check box didn't follow alphabet order;
    7. "State" check box have nonexistent state "BC";
    8. "State" check box don't have full list of US states;
    9. "ZIP" text field accept letters;
    10. "ZIP" text field accept non-real zip;
    11. "Email" text field accept empty value;
    12. "Referred by" text field accept symbols and numbers.

    Cell Phone Service:

    1. "Months left on current contract" check box have only 10 month in list;
    2. "My monthly bill is approximately" text field accept letters;
    3. "My monthly bill is approximately" accept 0 before any value;
    4. "Minutes on plan" check box and "Number of phones on plan" check box non lined correctly.

    Local/Long Distances/International Service:

    1. "My monthly bill is approximately" text field accept paste any text from other text field;
    2. "Total Bill" text field accept paste any text from other text field;
    3. "My monthly bill is approximately" text field accept 0 before any value;
    4. "Total Bill" text field accept 0 before any value.

    High Speed Internet Service:

    1. "My monthly bill is approximately" text field accept paste any text from other text field;
    2. "My monthly bill is approximately" text field accept 0 before any value;
    3. In "Wireless Aircard" check box in "Provider" text field accept any numbers or symbols.

    TV Service:

    1. "My monthly bill is approximately" text field accept paste any text from other text field;
    2. "My monthly bill is approximately" text field accept 0 before any value.

    Home Security Service:

    1. "My monthly bill is approximately" text field accept paste any text from other text field;
    2. "My monthly bill is approximately" text field accept 0 before any value.

    Gas and Electric Services:

    1. "My monthly bill is approximately (summer)" text field accept paste any text from other text field;
    2. "My monthly bill is approximately (summer)" text field accept 0 before any value;
    3. "My monthly bill is approximately (winter)" text field accept paste any text from other text field;
    4. "My monthly bill is approximately (winter)" text field accept 0 before any value;
    5. "I am opento using different provider" check box don't have space between "open" and "to".

      Contact Information:
      • TAB key moves input focus from "First name" field to "Referred by" instead of "Last name" field.
      • "First name" and "Last name" fields accept digits.
      • "City" field accepts digits.
      • "State" drop down list box has 48 States, instead of 51. Missing states are HI, NV, WI, DC.
      • In "State" drop down list box , the names of the states are not in alphabetical order.
      • "State" drop down list box should not have "Other" option,if all the states are present.
      • In "State" drop down list box "BC" is Canadian State. Replace with DC, since it is missing
      • "ZIP" code field accepts non digit characters.
      • The selection in "Best way to contact Me" drop down list box should be in alphabetical order (Email, Phone)
      • "Referred by" field accepts numbers.

      Cell Phone Service:
      • In "Current Provider" drop down list box, the names of the providers are not in alphabetical order.
      • " My Monthly Bill is approximately:" field accepts non digit characters.
      • "Months left on current contract" list box has options only up to 10 months.

      Local/ Long distances/ International Service:
      • "Current provider" drop down list box items are not in alphabetical order.

      High Speed Internet Service:
      • In " Type of Service" options there are radio buttons and checkbox together.
      • " Provider" field does not accept input focus, when "Wireless Aircard" checkbox is not checked.

      TV service:
      • In "Current Provider" drop down list box the names of providers are not in alphabetical order.

      Home security Service:
      • In "Current provider" drop down list box, the names of the providers are not in alphabetical order.

      Gas and Electric Services:
      • In "Current Provider" drop down list box the providers are not in alphabetical order.
      • In check box label " I am opento" should be "I am open to"

        Energy Telecom GUI bugs:

        Contact Information
        1. Tab order is broken after the "First Name" as after pressing the Tab key cursor jumps to the last data input field "Reffered by". Second press on the Tab key send the cursor
        up to the second data input field "Last Name".
        2. "State" dropdown list includes BC which is British Columbia in Canada and should be excluded in this list.
        3. "Best Way To Contact
        Me:" should be replaced with "Best Way To Contact My:" in one line.

        1. "I last upgraded my phone(s) approximately: ______ months" should have "ago" added to the end.

            1. Incorrect TAB order in “Contact Information” box.

            Expected Result: TAB order LEFT to RIGHT.

            Actual Result: TAB order TOP to BOTTOM; BOTTOM to TOP; TOP to LEFT.

            2. “First Name” field acceptance

            Expected Result: letters, numbers

            Actual Result: special characters, letters, numbers.

            3. “Last Name” field acceptance

            Expected Result: letters

            Actual Result: letters, numbers, special characters

            4. “City” field acceptance

            Expected Result: letters

            Actual Result: letters, numbers, special characters

            5. “State” list box has errors

            Expected Result: Alphabetical order, state abbreviation in two letters, only list of states, exclude provinces, cities, and countries.

            Actual Result: States are not in alphabetical order, province British Columbia abbreviated as a state “BC”, state abbreviated in three letters instead of two “IND”, and “OTHER” listed as a state.

            6. “Zip” list box acceptance

              GUI bug report for Energy Telecom app.



              Contact Information:
              1. It is allowed to tape letters into the field "ZIP".
              2. It is allowed to tape figures into "First Name" and "Last Name" fields.
              3. When we start taping the name of a сity it would be better to get some associationі and choose a city that we need.
              4. In chapter "1.Cell Phone Service" used check boxes and " Local/Long Distances/International Service" used radio buttons. When it's possible it's better to use the same type of buttons


              Cell Phone Service:
              1. List box for field "Current Provider" does not have an option Other.
              2. We do not have a field where we can say if we do not have a cell phone.
              3. In chapter "1.Cell Phone Service" used check boxes and " Local/Long Distances/International Service" used radio buttons. When it's possible it's better to use the same type of buttons


              Local/Long Distances/International Service:

              1. field "Current Provider" we have an option "Other" but we do not have a field to tape a name of it.


              High Speed Internet Service:

              1. We do not have a field where we can tape if we do not have an internet service.
              2. we have exess field to tape name of a provider.
              3. Field "Type of service" has a check box for "Wireless Aircard" instead of radio button.


              TV Service

              1 . We do not have a field where we tape if we do not have a TV Service.


              The button "Clear" doesn't clear the inserts. When we press on it we got the message: "17896 - Invalid data request. Please call technical support or restart your computer !!!"

                1. TAB order doesn't have logic. It scips text fields.
                2. Submit button is disable when there is text in data input fields.
                3. Section 1 "Cell Phone Service", text field for "My monthly bill is approximately" exceptes letters.
                4. Section 1 "Cell Phone Service", drop-box for "Months left on current contract" shows 10 month maximum. Every other drop-box has 24 month.
                5. Section 7 "Gas and Electric Services", text for check box has incorrect spelling " I am opento using different provider".
                6. Text field "First Name" and "Last Name" except numbers.
                7. Text field "Email" except all signs (^$#".

                    Bug Report for Energy Telecom Service Website:

                    1. Control is enable: without any information in every field a button "Submit" is enable/works.
                    2. Clicking the button "Submit" it's gives you list of required information you have to provide which marked with red stars*"and only field "Email" marked with blue star.
                    3. Input focus doesn't work in the field "Street address", "City".
                    4. After submitting name of the city and state input focus gives wrong zip code in the field "ZIP".
                    5. If you put name of the city with a mistake doesn't correct you.
                    6. Choosing other information in field "State" doesn't support with any additional fields to put other information.
                    7. In a section "Contact information" TAB order jumps from first field "First name" to the last field in this section "Referred by" and after this jumps to the second field this section "Last name."
                    8. In the section "Cell Phone Service" in the field "My Monthly Bill its Approximately" accept the letters.

                      - Text alignment of section 1 "Contact information" is different (center) from the rest sections (left)
                      - Fields "Last name", "Street address" and "ZIP" aren't aligned properly
                      - When the form is empty, "Submit" button isn't disabled
                      - There is no default button on the page
                      - There is no field with default input focus on the page
                      - There are no single radiobuttons selected by default on the page
                      - Font size of "Clear" button is smaller(90%) than font size of "Submit" button (100%)
                      - There is no enough space between section heading (2-9) and left border
                      - Background color of drop-downs list boxes is greyed out as disabled
                      - In section 7 named "Gas and Electric Servces" there is a grammar error in label to check box "I am opento using difernt provider"
                      - In section "High speed internet service" there is an unexpected checkbox among radiobuttons named "Wireless Aircard" with the text field "Provider" next to it
                      - TAB order doesn't work properly. After "First name" field it moves to "Reffered by" field
                      - Pushing on any radiobutton the default mouse pointer isn't changed to hand mouse pointer
                      - Headings didn't use in a proper order. Heading level H2 skipped between H1 "Energy-Telecom Service Review" and H3 "Please fill out this form..."
                      - There is no clear demarcation for assistive technologies, all the sections excluding "Contact information" aren't "fieldset", and headings aren't "fielset legend", so user can't focus first on selecting what they consider to be most important option by assistive technologies

                      - When push the "Clear" button, the form doesn't get clear
                      - Improper message pops up when push "Clear" button: "Error 17896 - Incalid data request. Please call technical support or restart your computer"
                      - Unexpexted error message appears when submitting the form with an empty optional "Refferd by" field: "Please enter the name of the person...."

                        In dropdown list "State" states are not in alphabetical order; "BC" should be change to "Washington DC"; missing three states HI, NV, WI; "IND" should be change to "IN"; option "Other" should be removed.

                              1. The "Contact Information" part.

                              1.1 The "Street Address:" edit box allows to input the special signs $$$, no letters at all, no error message appeared after pushing Submit button.

                              1.2 The "City:" edit box allows to input only numbers, no error message appeared after pushing Submit button.

                              1.3 The "Email:" edit box allows to input email address in the wrong format (no @ sign etc), no error message appeared after pushing Submit button.

                              2. The "1. Cell Phone Service" part.

                              2.1 The GUI allows to check simultaneously the both check boxes, "I like my handset" & "I am interested in updating my handset", should allow the only one.

                              3. The "2. Local/Long Distances/International Service" part.

                              3.1 The edit boxes for the "Primary phone" allow the only "000". Those invalid values were not listed in the errors part after pushing Submit button.

                              3.2 The edit boxes "My monthly bill is approximately:" allows the "00.00". Those invalid values were not listed in the errors part after pushing Submit button.

                              3.3 The edit boxes "Total Bill:" allows the "00.00". Those invalid values were not listed in the errors part after pushing Submit button.


                              4. The "3. High Speed Internet Service" part.

                              4.1 The edit boxes "My monthly bill is approximately:" allows the "00.00". Those invalid values were not listed in the errors part after pushing Submit button.

                              5. The "4. TV Service" part.

                              5.1 The edit boxes "My monthly bill is approximately:" allows the "00.00". Those invalid values were not listed in the errors part after pushing Submit button.

                              6. The "5. Home Security Service".

                              6.1 While the check box "I do not have home security services today, but I am interested in getting more information." not been checked and in the drop down of the Provider the "Other" been selected the GUI allows "00.00" for the check box "My monthly bill is approximately:" Those invalid value were not listed in the errors part after pushing Submit button.

                              7. The "7. Gas and Electric Services" part.

                              7.1 While in the drop-down of the Provider the "Other" been selected the GUI allows "00.00" for the check box "My monthly bill is approximately (summer):".
