I got my higher education in Russia, specializing in human resource management, but I did not manage to work in this field. I worked as a stewardess for eight years. My field of work is changing due to moving to another country. I choose QA because I see myself in this specialty and it is interesting and gives me freedom. In 5 years I want to see myself, an independent person, enjoying my job, free to choose and able to keep it all.

      • I graduated from MGIMO in Russia with a bachelor's degree in "Economics and Innovation" in 2021.
      • After graduating I moved to US and I have been working for a 1 year and 4 months in a background screening company where I mostly work with results, orders, invoices and other data.
      • My current work experience is very niche to my specific company and I would like to expand to have better opportunities in life.
      • I work closely with our company's QA team and realized that QA work is needed in almost any field of work.
      • After 5 years I hope to gain work experience in the QA sphere and pass the ISTQB exams to become a high demand professional with a good annual salary. My childish dream is to incorporate my hobbies with my work and become a professional game tester for a big gaming company.

Hello. My name is Mariia. I'm a Goldey-Beacom College graduate with Bachelor degree in Business Administration. For the last 8 years I worked on different positions including administrative assistant, sale associate, retail store manager, but I was alway passionate about IT career. The world changing so fast and information technology seems to be one of the major drivers of social development. I want to be a part of this changes and be able to make a difference in this big industry, I think that QA engineering is a good start for that. I believe that my high attention to details, persistence, ability to learn quickly and work in a high paced environment make me a good candidate for QA Engineer position. In 5 years I see myself as successful mid/senior QA engineer in a reputable company with flexible schedule.

              My name is Valentyn Chaliuk.

I got my degree in Designing Telecommunication Systems.
After university I worked in sales. Luxury clothes, landline lines, books.
Then I worked for national mobile operator as an incedent manager.
Since my department there was reducted, I am translating internal
              banking documentation as a freelancer.

This job is alright, but now I need more socialised position in my life.
So I started to look for a new job. I was always interested in technologies. I am quite a
confident user. Throught my life I was working on Windows, Linux, and Mac. I took three
beginner level classes of Python on Coursera, just for myself. And an HTML class at local
computer school. And as long as many of my friends are in IT, I learned from them about QA.
One of them told me about SiliconValleyVoice channel on YouTube. Which lead me to the Portnov School.

Now I want to get a job in QA and to do my best to become an integral part of the team.
In five years time I would like to see myself as a reliable automatisation QA engineer.
One that could be described by colleagues as the man who makes the difference.
