        Hello, my name is Elena.
I graduated from the Far Eastern Federal University with a degree in social work. For the last 8 years before immigrating, I worked in a forensics and valuation company as a transport valuation expert. In 2015 I moved to the USA. Here I studied English for 2 years in college. I also work with delivery. I chose QA testing because I want to get a profession that I like and brings not only satisfaction, but also opportunities for professional growth and decent pay. In five years, I see myself in the position of a QA manager, where I can apply my professional and personal qualities that contribute to my career growth.

          Hello!
          My name is Elena.
          1) I have a bachelor's degree and master's degree in Economy specializing in Accounting, Financial Analysis and Audit.
          2) I worked as a chief accountant in the various business industries (computer sales and microcircuits production). My responsibilities were maintaining company financial records, pricing, tax reports, various types of statistical reports, managing a team of accountants, interaction with the IT department to improve an accounting application.
          3) I loved my previous job, but I moved to the US, and I had to learn everything from scratch , but I didn't have any friends in the accounting industry.
          4) I thought to start a QA Engineer career might be a good idea because I have always been interested in software testing and have always used opportunities to get experience in the field. Also my husband and all my friends work in the IT industry and could help me.
          5) I see myself as a seasoned QA Engineer with primary focus an Automation.

              * Bachelor's degree in linguistics
              * RE agent, transportation company management

              * Transportation company contract is now requiring use of special software that doesn’t work. I started reporting all bugs to the developers and found it very interesting.
              * My friend recommended and once I tried it on very basic level I liked it and decided to look into it.
              *
Get professional in Manual QA and Automation.

I have a university degree in Linguistics and the second university degree in Economics.
I worked in a company as a purchasing agent. Today I work as a teacher of English.
I'm burnt out in my current job , I'm tired of this system of occupation.
Choosing the QA was accidential at first, but then I was committed to it.
I see myself like somebody who changes the profession of QA.

                      Hi everyone,

Thank you for sharing your stories! We have quite a diverse team here.

My name is Olga. I received my bachelors degree in Molecular Biology from Carlow University in 2012. In 2015, I graduated from Drexel University PA program and have been working as a medical provider in urgent care and emergency/hospital medicine since. I have a total of 15 years of healthcare experience.

I love my job, but it is very demanding physically and mentally. It frequently requires me to work long shifts (14+ hours), cover weekends and holidays with added stress of high acuity patients due to the COVID pandemic, not to mention the fear of litigation. I have missed many family events and holidays. I rarely get to spend weekends at home.

I want to have a satisfying career with a better life/work balance. I witnessed many of my colleagues move into the IT field in the past 2 years for similar reasons. Most are very satisfied with their choice - they feel valued and mentally engaged. As someone with a limited IT exposure, I see QA as a great start to get myself aquanted with the field.

In the next 5 years, I see myself employed by one of the leading EMR software companies as a Lead QA Analyst where I can combine my technical knowledge with medical expertise. I intend to keep my medical license to practice and provide consultations on a prn basis.

                        Q: What is your education

A: Hello. My name is Natalia. My occupation is performing arts Stage director.

Q: What is your work experience

A: I have experience of working for a few Georgian (republic of Georgia) theater stages with different kinds of people like electricians, stagehand, composers, artists, play writers, actors and all who are involved in theatral life.

Q: Why career change (what was wrong with your previous profession)

A: In December 2019 my family moved from my home country to the United States. I was happy to try myself on the American stage, but Covid-19 started, and I understood that it's time to convert my career into a more flexible job.

                        Q: Why QA

A: My husband is senior web developer and he offered to try myself in this way. It was life changing advice. from all IT careers I chose QA, because in my profession, stage director before the performance reads a play. looks for clues, researching and analyzing characters. After, the result are transferred to the actors and the creation of the show begins. For me the process of QA is exactly the same, you need to serch, recognize and report bugs and problems. This part of work, investigation of problems is most interesting for me.Then you are sending them to developers, and after all correction software is performing its best.

Q: How you see yourself professionally in 5 years

A: After 5 years I see myself in QA automation like team lead, or manager.

My name is Inna, I have a bachelor's degree in Economy specializing in Accounting and Audit.

Since I love technology, I worked for 5 years as a customer service specialist in a telecommunications company in Ukraine.

I have a lot of experience in communicating with people, and this can help me see the product from the client's point of view.

With the beginning of the war in my country, I decided to move to the USA, and immediately started looking for a new job here, but it was important for me to know exactly where I would feel happy.

When I learned about the program testing, I felt that it was mine and I was on the right track. I understand that my development and growth is here.

I have a bachelor's degree in linguistics. I have been in hospitality business for the last 10 years, primarily specializing in vacation rental management. I liked my job for a while but eventually I got tired of doing the same thing over and over again. It began to feel like it is a Groundhog day every day with no growth and not getting new skills. I always knew that in order to not feel like all you do is work, you need to do what you love and I started asking myself what is it that I like. I enjoy solving problems and puzzles and my friend who is also a QA Tester suggested this profession. In 5 years I see myself being a high demanding QA manager.
