    Hello all,

    My name is Elena

I am graduated in 2015 from the University of Kentucky with a bachelors’ degree in Accounting, and in 2019 from the Kentucky Technical Community College with an associate degree in Computer Science – Application Option-Business Software Specialist

My previous work experience was mostly related to business administration and accounting. Formerly, I worked as a retail business owner, a financial manager, and as an accountant. Currently, I am an Auditor in The Kentucky Department of Revenue.

I have reached the highest position at the Department and I have no position to grow into. This is why I am looking forward to updating my skills and move into a job with growth potential.

The state government is working on moving all IT systems from old software to a new one. This could be a good chance for me to get into the state government IT team. I see myself in five years as part of the IT team at my current work, and I want to get work experience and move up to new opportunities. If my plan does not work, I will make additional freelance money staying at my current job.

Best wishes to all students in this class!

Hello! I’m Michael. I have a master's degree in law (Kyiv, Ukraine)

After graduation, I worked as a judge's assistant. In 2004, I received a lawyer's certificate and engaged in private practice.
I have extensive experience in political election campaigns. I headed the electoral headquarters of political parties, deputies, and presidential candidates in the Donetsk region.

I have a lot of experience in conducting and organizing public events. I founded and held a three-day festival with the participation of famous Ukrainian rock groups, a lot of sports events and activities, and the stage of the tournament EMMA (auto-sound championship).

For the last three years, I’ve been running a marketing department for a major Internet provider. I was involved in promoting the company’s products, developing a marketing strategy, and conducting advertising companies both online and offline. It was also my responsibility to test new products, application interfaces, and application performance. Supervised the development and launch of the company’s new website. My main task was to test the site of all its functions, each link, and button, and check the compliance of the information.

During the same period, I created my marketing agency. Our agency helped the business remove from offline to online. The agency was involved in social networking, content creation (graphic and video) copywriting, and website development. My job was to manage the customer service and website testing processes that our agency was preparing. Checking content and website functionality.

In addition, I often had to order the development of various chatbots and applications. In this case, I was a product manager and a tester at the same time.

I think my career has always been about QA. Ever since I was a kid and I was a teenager, I used to look for mistakes in video games that helped me win the game. For me, QA is one of the most affordable ways to enter the American IT-related labor market. I even chose not a profession, but a mentor in the person of Mikhail Portnov, whom I trust and feel that he can open the door for me.

Over the next five years, I want to become at least a project manager. Open my own business and maybe it will be a marketing or event agency. In fact, America is a land of opportunity, and tomorrow maybe I’ll be inspired to give up everything and do things that I haven’t thought about. I’m not young enough to spend the rest of my life in an unloved job.

I’ve got a Master degree in Psychology, Bachelor degree in Law and, in addition, I‘ve been attending numerous classes in order to upgrade my professional skills in the fields relevant to the requirements of each of my jobs at that moment.

I’ve got a great deal of experience in quite different industries and professional fields such as law, wholesale trade, insurance, logistics etc. where I’ve gained success, managed my way to the top management and obtained good expertise in business, administration and crisis management along with numerous more specific professional skills.

I decided to put my eye on the IT industry and it’s opportunities a few years ago I was fascinated with the environment and the new challenges that it can provide, and, frankly, I still am, and now I’m just using my chance and spare time to start to learn some parts of it as a basis for what may grow up as my future professional career.

QA seems to be the proper 1st step to start from taking into consideration my high level of self discipline, attention to details and hardworking nature and, in my personal opinion, testers are the people who play a very important role in the whole process of creating the software products what can not be disregarded.

5 years later I see myself as a self confident and professionally grown decent member of either a big company or the owner of my own successful company.

Hello, my name is Anton.I used to work as a music teacher in a school in Ukraine. This experience gave me strong endurance, patience, and resistance to stress. I also gained skills in working with documentation. There, I had an opportunity of testing an application for sharing homework and kids' success between parents and teachers. The testing was done from the user's point of view and so I became interested in Software Testing.
Soon after that I moved to the USA and realized that I had a chance to fulfill myself in this field to become an SQA Engineer. In the United States, I started working as a startup involved, my web application for selling image licenses. I made the requirements and tested this application in a production environment.
I have a goal for the next five years to became a Senior QA Engineer who is very good in automation, knows different technologies and programming languages.
