        • Hello, my name is Olha. In 2017 I have graduated from Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana with Associate degree in Database Management/Administration. Also I have a 3 years of coursework in Physics from Chernivtsi State University in Ukraine. After my College graduation I completed an OPT training in DATG in Burbank,CA as A Data Engineering Intern. Before I came to US I’d worked in Dutch IT company located in Chernivtsi, Ukraine as a Support Engineer and A Software Test Engineer which I have actually started my career in IT with (that time we used completely different tools and software for bug reporting). After a relatively big gap in my career I have decided to go back to QA testing again, because, if to think about my last college degree, I dont have time to catch experience for the whole time that has already passed to come back and be competitive with others in Data Technology field, and also I want to spend more time with my family and son, which is not almost possible while you work in Data Technology jobs, because you, like a mad genius, usually spend 24/7 for solving some problems in you head, no matter you are in the office or at home. I have my personal expectations and ambitions to be successful in QA, to start QA automation as soon as possible and go up as high as I can in my career as a QA engineer.

          • Hi everyone!

            My name is Nastya.

I have got a Bachelor`s and Master`s degrees of Chemistry in Kyiv, Ukraine.

During last 8 years I were working as Laboratory Assistant in International School in Science Department. Due to Covid and the war in Ukraine, there was a lot of online classes, so I were switched to Teacher`s Assistant position to provide support in class preparation.

In august my work contract wasn’t prolonged due to cutting of job positions. Anyway, 8 years were enough to understand that I don’t see myself as a teacher in future.

I had to observe a lot of lessons with interesting tasks, creative approaches to the presentation of the material. But sometimes teacher's hard work was not visible because of the many small details. This phenomenon exists not only in teaching. It's a shame when the idea is good, but the implementation is weak. It seems to me worthy to devote my life to the realization of ideas. Most people on the planet use phones, laptops, so there is a lot of work.

Being honest, in 5 years the most logical would be to learn automation and to narrow myself as a tester. Instead of vertical growth, I would prefer to improve my technical skills.

                • I am Marina. I came from Ukraine. In Ukraine, I graduated from a medical university with a degree in pharmacy (master degree). And I've been very successful In less than a year, I achieved what I planned to do in the first 5 years. Due to the fact that I could connect with people, put myself in their place, calculate the options and sell what the client needs to be happy and remain our client.
If it touched on my work, then I was looking for a place for a pharmacy, calculated profitability, recruited and trained staff, ordered goods and brought it to profit on time. Which has already made my leaders happy too! For many years I played the Green Card Lottery and won. And so I came to the USA, to the country of opportunity and decided that I needed to change to the fullest and reach new heights. That is why, having studied the market for work and training, I decided to start with testing. And I am sure that in this area I can be successful and happy! because I can see the software through the eyes of the user. And within the first 5 years become a Lead software Testing Specialist

                  • I graduated Computer Science with minor in Artificial Intelligence at State University of Moldova. Graduated in 2005 with no work experience I did get a contract offer of 2 years as IT Specialist at FinComBank Corporation. In 2 years I moved to a full-time job with this company. Worked for several years with this company. After I moved with my family to the USA. Here in 2010, I did find the same job as an IT Specialist at the Company which offers network and computer solutions, smart home automation, and video surveillance. Even though I did like the job, at one point the routine I had, it was exhausting. I started looking for something also technical, but in a different environment, where a friend of mine who works in QA Field, suggested me to try QA, this is how I learned about the existence of QA. I took some classes to update my knowledge and did a lot of research about QA Tester. I started as Junior QA (entry level) on a 12 months contract and I liked it. In just one year learning and working hard I was promoted as a QA Engineer with a full-time job at Software Consulting Company, located in Tampa FL. I had the opportunities to work on multiple Projects. Since the first day I have enjoyed every day spent on this field. In the present I working remotely as QA Engineer at XYZ company

                          • My name is Marina. I have a Bachelor degree in Management.
                          • Before moving to the US I worked in logistics. My main job was finding and fixing discrepancies between inventory in SAP and the real inventory. That was medical equipment and spare parts, so, the discrepancies were really expensive.
                          • My previous job was pretty unique, because of the field - mix of medicine and logistics and job responsibilities. I liked it, but it is almost impossible to find a similar job. I did not want to change it to “heavy logistics” like warehouse operations or transportation, and also because of family I did not start a career right after moving to the US.
                          • I knew about the QA for a long time, but until recently I was not closely familiar with this job. As soon as I learn about it more, I find it more attractive.
                          • I am sure I have a lot to learn in this profession. So, I see me becoming more knowledgeable, working with interesting projects. Maybe it can be interesting to be a team lead in QA.
